Stunning photography of the built environment waits for the world to decide the winner
15 shortlisted images fought their way past the scrutiny of this year’s judging panel which included photography critic and editor Sue Steward, award-winning photographer Matt Wain and Elaine Knutt editor of Construction Manager magazine.
Now that the judges have had their say, the CIOB is inviting everyone to decide which of the finalists should be awarded the prestigious title of ‘Art of Building Photographer of the Year’ and scoop a cash prize of £3,000. Voting is free and takes place via www.artofbuilding.org.
“There are absolutely no signs of the competition slowing up in either interest or quality,” says CIOB Art of Building manager, Saul Townsend. “There is a real passion for the built environment and it has shone through in the photography entered this year. Now it’s up everyone to have their say on who should win.”
The contest which celebrates creativity in the construction industry is now in its fourth year. Voting opens on 9 December and closes on 9 January 2014.
